I chose this marinade for my chicken skewers, because the yogurt marinade allows the chicken in fact to remain tender and creamy , and prevents meat from drying out during cooking . I'm sure you will like this recipe, it's easy and so good!
How to make chicken skewers?
To succeed well his chicken skewers, he failed to marinate the meat for some time so that the marinade soaks well. 15 minutes are not sufficient, I would say minimum 1 hour or all night why not! Oven chicken skewer
Here are the ingredients for chicken skewers, which I used:
- Chicken breast : Buy those that are very thick to be able to cut them in cube and therefore mount them on the skewers easily
- Nature yogurt : I use an unwell basic life yogurt. Do not take those with fruit for example. No matter the brand, or the texture, everything works, even the Greek yogurts
- Lemon : I recover the juice from a lemon that I simply press.
- Olive oil : it is better to use olive oil to enjoy its virtues and flavors, even as it is in very small quantity
- Thym : If you have fresh thyme it would be really great, but if you don't have one. it doesn't matter. I used dehydrated thyme, and it works too.
- Paprika : It is the equivalent of a slightly softer powder chili, for those who are from Africa. If you are here in Europe, take the classic paprika. If you use smoked paprika, its taste may prevail over the global flavors of the marinade.
- Powder garlic : to raise the taste
- onion powder if you have them or grated onion if you don't have one.

What vegetables with chicken skewers?
When you go up the skewers, it's better to alternate with the vegetables. Not only is it more good like that, but it also facilitates digestion. I do like in the country, and I use:

How to cook chicken skewers in the oven?
As I said at the start, even the cooking phase is important to succeed in these chicken skewers.
- I put my skewers in the oven at 200 degrees by placing them directly on the oven rack (with a dish below to recover the cooking juices that will fall).
- Count 15 to 30 minutes of cooking depending on your oven and remember to return them regularly!
- Whenever you come to monitor your chicken , brush them again with the rest of your marinade using your brush . If you have enough , even use the resulting cooking juices . The chicken should not dried during cooking!
- To check the cooking of the meat, incise the interior of a piece with a knife. If it is pink, cooking must be continued. Otherwise, it's good !
