Finally ! I publish my very first baby recipe on this blog: a Délicieuce Recipe of cookie easy to make , based on white cheese and sweet at the dates . Yum! 😋
Since I gave birth, I discovered that it was still missing a lot of simple recipes for baby and children on the internet - especially if you want to make them discover African flavors very early .
To be honest with you, I had opened this section several months ago already, when I still made small homemade jars (with African flavor) to my baby. But I have never really had time to sit down and write all these recipes ...
Luckily , I had noted everything in a notebook 📓, and now I hope to be able to share them with you. Because frankly, I don't want you to struggle like me at the start of food diversification. Lol
My cookie recipe: an easy, fast and ideal snack for children
This cookie recipe is ultra simple and easy to make and absolutely delicious! With a light dough made from white cheese and oil , they are ready in no time. In addition, it is a great activity to do with children.
✨ Why are you going to love this recipe for children's cookies?
- ✅ ready in 20 minutes chrono - a real plus when you have zero time to prepare a snack.
- ✅ Soft on the inside , slightly crisp on the outside.
- ✅ Perfect as a kitchen activity with the little ones.
- ✅ And above all: no refined sugar ! Instead, I use date powder -a healthier alternative for toddlers.
Ingredients for dough
Simple ingredients that we often have at home:
- White cheese
→ Honestly, I'm not used to using it in the kitchen, but it is a super alternative to cream or butter: less fatty , lighter, more airy, and it gives a really soft paste! No need for eggs to make the dough soft - Neutral vegetable oil
→ is not afraid to put it. She makes cookies very tender. I tried to reduce the quantity once… Result: dry cookies 😅 - Flour
- Date powder
→ It is available on this blog ! It replaces classic sugar in this recipe super well. Perfect for babies.
- Chemical
- A pinch of salt
Necessary material
- Head cuts (recommended size: 8–9 cm)
- A kitchen brush
- A baking sheet
- Parchment paper
💡 Tip: if your cookie cutters are smaller or larger, think about adjusting the cooking time.
✨ For the cookies to remain very soft
Before baking, brush the paste with melted butter to prevent it from drying. You can also use an egg + milk : it's just as effective in keeping the softness.
🍯 Sweet garnish (optional or for adults)
As I did these cookies for my one -year -old baby, I did not add sugar on top .
But if you are a gourmet-go ahead, have fun! 😄 In addition, visually, it's even prettier at the end.
Two options:
- Peat sugar : add a few grains on the cookies and press lightly so that they hold well.
- Dressing into the sugar : After cutting the shapes, dips the face of the cookies in a small bowl of sugar, then replace them on the plate.
Little gourmet tip
These cookies are better lukewarm , just out of the oven. Let them cool for a few minutes and savor them still hot ... A real happiness! 🤍
