Claclo or plantain donuts

Delicious donuts made of plantain bananas and seasoned with garlic and onion, ginger. They are very popular in Africa, but especially in Côte d'Ivoire, they are part of the 4 p.m. snack ☺

Cooking time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 Plantains too ripe
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 spoon with powdered garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • Pepper
  • 100 grams of wheat flour
  • Frying oil

Instructions

  • Peel the plantains and cut into small pieces
  • Add an onion, then crush with a blender
  • Then add the flour, salt, pepper, garlic and ginger and mix well.
  • In a hollow pan, add oil for frying. Leave to heat for about 3-5 minutes, but be careful not to heat too long.
  • With a small spoon, divide the dough into small quantities to fry
  • Stir every 2 minutes until you get a beautiful golden color
  • Serve with a spicy sauce or simply eat them!
