Put the oil over medium heat to heat in a hollow background pot.
In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients, including sugar, yeast, salt and flour, nutmeg and coconut
Add the butter, and mix well.
Add the egg, then the milk and mix to obtain a dough. If the dough is too thick, add water in small increments until the dough is a consistency that can be dosed
Test the oil by dropping a tablespoon full of dough in the oil. If it sizzles, the oil is hot enough.
Put a tablespoon of dough in the oil. Let the donuts fry for about 5 minutes until it is completely cooked.
Remove the donuts from the oil with a hole spoon and place them on absorbent paper to absorb excess oil.
It is best to eat hot donuts.
