After the recipe for baobab juice , and bissap juice that I shared here in the previous weeks. I come back this time with a drink just as popular as the other 2, the still called Gnamakoudji.

Ingredients

  • 2 l of water
  • 300 gr of fresh ginger
  • 100- 200 gram of sugar according to your convenience
  • 1 optional vanilla sugar
  • optional fresh mint leaves
  • 3 lemons

Instructions

  • Clean, peel and rinse ginger.

  • Cut into small pieces to facilitate grinding.

  • Put the pieces of ginger in a blender, and mix with a part of water until ginger is puree

  • Boil water. As soon as boiling is reached, remove from heat.
  • Pour the ginger puree into hot water

  • Press 2 lemons directly in the preparation and cut 1 lemon into a neighborhood (with the skin) to add to it too. Also add the mint leaves

  • Leave to infuse until the juice becomes cold again.

  • Filter, add the sugar to your liking and put it in the refrigerator.

Notes

Do not let infuse all night because the skin of the lemons contained in the drink will give a rear taste a bit. If you want to infuse for a long time, add that the lemon juice in a hurry
