A few months ago already, I presented you here in the blog: African pepper . It was a braised fish saleswoman who taught me this recipe during my last stay in Cameroon and I used local spices of the country . Today I come back with another pepper recipe , that I am sure that you will love it as much as the previous one. The peculiarity of this recipe is that it is easier and easier to make than the first . Here we use many ingredients and the cooking time is also reduced
This is why I called this Express pepper .. lol. It is perfect, if you don't have time in the kitchen, but you still want to serve your fish or your braised chicken with a small accompaniment sauce quickly and delicious!
Pepper condiments: ingredients
As I said at the start, in this recipe I use many ingredients . These are the ingredients you surely have at hand at home, we do not complicate.
I therefore use:
- pepper
- garlic
- The onions
- ginger
- pepper, salt
- Washer : This ingredient is optional.
For those who use the seasoning cubes, you can also add 1 or ½ cube. I have been using these cubes in my kitchen for a long time.
As you can see, the ingredients are very very simple. This is how your homemade pepper puree would be as simple and very good .
African pepper recipe
This African pepper sauce recipe is super easy to prepare. After having crushed everything together, just cook the mixture.
Cooking is done in 2 steps:
- First you have to cook the pepper with very little water for about 15 min
- Second, you have to fry the chilli : when you notice that the water has dried well and that the chilli is already clinging to the bottom of the pot, you have to add oil. Let fry for a few minutes, adjust the seasoning of the salt before turning off the heat.
Recipe note
- Do not hesitate to double the quantity if you want to make a lot of spice and keep a game . It is sometimes practical, to avoid doing it all the time. If you want to keep a game, do it on the other hand in the freezer. Because after 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator, the pepper begins to spoil
- If you like it or you are looking for the recipe for strong African pepper , in short when it stings a lot, feel free to add the amount of pepper . Me in this recipe I only use 3 peppers, because I support better when my spicy sauce is soft and not very strong. Cooking is also a matter of preference after all 😀

With what to serve his chili?
I serve my pepper sauce, almost with everything! Whether with braised fish , braised chicken , lamb dibi , in short the grills in general. With donuts , such as cassava or banan donut donut . It's also very good!

Easy and quick Cameroon Pepper recipe
Ingredients
- 3 big peppers
- 10 garlic cloves
- 2 onions
- 1 ginger
- Salt and pepper
- ½ Ca washer an optional Cameroonian spice
- a little oil
Instructions
- Clear all your ingredients well
- Then crush all the ingredients together with a little water. Water should just cover the ingredients barely
- Cook for 15 minutes over low heat. Just add very little water 2 to 3 times during cooking if necessary. Just to prevent the chili from starting to burn
- After 15 minutes, as soon as you have noticed, that the chilli begins to stick in the bottom of the pot, pour the oil a little and let fry 3 to 5 minutes over very very soft heat
- Adjust the seasoning by adding salt and pepper
- Serve cold with grills or donuts. Enjoy your food
