So here, here is the first recipe from Benin that I share in the blog and it is the beginning of a Longueeee List of Beninese recipes 😊. I am sure that you will surely like this recipe because I already re-gone !!!!!!
What are Talé Talé?
Talé-talés are simply donuts made with very very very ripe mûrs bananas . I'm sure you know this type of bananas small, in Cameroon we call it the pig bananas 😅. They are surely found in other African countries. These bananas are perfect for the recipe because they are already sweet naturally, so we no longer need to add the sugar.
Unfortunately, I could not find these bananas there at the supermarket. So I used normal bananas (but I waited for them to be really very ripe before making the donuts). It was still so delicious! 😋
How to make the Talé Talé?
It is the easiest donut recipe in the world I assure you! The recipe requires very few ingredients and it does not need rest time. As soon as you have bananas walls, hop you mix with the flour, you add a little salt and then you go to frying .. it's not easy that? The beautiful life .. lol
Well, the tale tale recipe is at the bottom of the article. I find that it is also very similar to the claclo recipe from Côte d'Ivoire . Except that for claclos, we use plantain bananas.
Between the Tale Tale, which I have just discovered! The African donuts (Mikate) , the corn donuts , I don't know where to put my head! Lol I love the donuts so much that I cannot choose between all this, which I prefer.
Enjoy your food!!!!! And don't forget to leave me a comment if you try the recipe.😊
