Pound Cake | Four quarters a super easy cake

So the holidays are fast approaching, and during this period I remember how very little one already liked to look for cake recipes to try . Especially since during the Christmas holidays, it was so long, and suddenly I never bored it to try the recipes, eat, and start again lol! On this occasion, I decided to share with you 1 cake recipe per week until New Year's Day 😊

Today so I offer you an ultra easy recipe for cake to make during Christmas holidays . This is simply four quarter known also as Pound Cake

Four quarter/ Pound Cake why this name?

The real pound cake recipe dates back to the 1700s . I have read that: the name " Pound Cake " comes from the way it is prepared. In the original recipe we used that 4 ingredients flour, sugar, butter, eggs in equal, it which each represent a quarter.

Here I will present you a little revisited version of the recipe , because I find that personally put 250 grams of butter and sugar in a cake is super fat. I decrease the amount of sugar and butter , but you see if you want to do normally with 250 grams for each ingredients

 A four -quarter and light quarter: how to succeed in your dough? 

  • Try not to mix the cake dough too much , you will get a dense and soft cake.
  • Use the eggs, the butter at room temperature . So a few hours before making the cake, remove the eggs and the butter at the same time from the fridge.

How to keep your cake 

The eighty-quarter was kept in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out . Make sure it is completely cooled before placing it in a storage container or a plastic bag to avoid condensation formation.

Pound Cake | four quarters a super easy cake

An ultra easy recipe for cake to make during Christmas. This is simply the four -quarter known also as Pound Cake in the original recipe, we used that 4 flour ingredients, sugar, butter, equal eggs, which each represent a quarter.
Preparation time 15 minutes
Cooking time 50 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 180 grams of butter
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 180 Grams of soft butter
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 and ½ Coffee of baking powder
  • ½ Café de sel
  • vanilla flavor or lemon zest to flavor

Instructions
 

  • Mix the soft butter and sugar at least for 2 minutes well. You should get a paste

  • Add the eggs 1 to 1. While stirring continuously. Finally add the vanilla aroma
  • In another bowl, sift the yeast with flour and salt together. The goal here is that all 3 ingredients are well mixed

  • Add the flour to the liquid mixture very gently while stirring continuously
  • As soon as you have incorporated all the flour. It's good. You don't need to stir long

  • Pour the cake into a buttered pan and cook in the oven between about 50 and 60 minutes. Take the knife test before removing it to be on that it comes out dry
