How to make the pepper chicken | Peppered Chicken?
What I like about this recipe is that it is a good alternative to the traditional basic fried chicken that we used to do during Christmas. Here the chicken would not only be fried, but in addition it would be coated with a small red sauce , spicy and quite heavy . I mean that we are very far from the traditional African tomato sauce that you surely know. 😅
In addition to that, you can use this recipe for turkey, beef, fried fish and gizzard . This is the same principle, except that you do not use the chicken! The recipe is really very versatile and it is really delicious!.
Ingredient
- Red peppers to crush
- But also the red and yellow green peppers to cut and also give beautiful to our dish!

- Pepper
- Aromatic herbs like Oregano, Thym, Basil
- Spices : curry, garlic, pepper, ginger
- Tomatoes : I know that it is a question of chicken with red pepper, maize spoiler alert there are also tomatoes in this dish 😀. The tomatoes are optional but there is nothing wrong with what they bring an additional nutrition.
- And of course the chicken : the star of this dish! Here I used the chicken that does not last long in the fire, but you can also use the soup chicken if you wish. It would also go very well in this recipe
RECIPE
The recipe is super easy to make
- Step 1: Prepare his chicken
This step is just to season the chicken, let marinate, boil and grill in the oven, or fry in an oil bath.
- Step 2: Make your little pepper sauce
Here we crush the tomatoes, onions and the red pepper together . And then we will cook everything until the water has dried
- Step 3: Mix everything
In a small saucepan, we will fry the onions, and again the peppers, but this time we use the green, yellow and red peppers to color the dish. We are going to add our precuited tomato sauce, then the chicken and finally season with the spices. We will simmer for a few moments by adding very little cooking juices to our chicken!

Red pepper chicken recipe
Ingredients
To crush
- 3 tumor
- 2 red peppers
- 2 onions
- 1 optional pepper
- 1 sliced ginger tablespoon
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp. Optional concentrated tomato
- frying oil
To season the chicken
- 1 tank of garlic powder
- 1 Origan coffee
- 1 tbsp of Paprica powder
- salt + pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 optional pepper
- some fresh basil branch
- 1/2 c. Coffee of dry thyme. If you have fresh thyme use it while cooking chicken
For the sauce
- 1 onion
- ½ GOLD POVER
- ½ red pepper
- ½ yellow pepper
- 100 to 150 ml Cooking juice of the chicken very little
- 1 c. Coffee of curry
- ½ c. Coffee garlic powder
- ½ Origan coffee
Instructions
Cook the chicken
- Prepare the marinade by crushing 1 onion, 1 pepper and the basil. Do not add water when you crush, rather oil if your mixer has difficulties. Or just chop
- Season the chicken with the marinade, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, oregan, and thyme.
- Leave to marinate 2 hours minimum, or even all night
- Boil for about 20 minutes with very little water.
- Separate the chicken from the broth and fry the chicken in vegetable oil.
Prepare the pepper sauce
- Mix the onions, garlic, 3 tomatoes, the chili and 2 red peppers
- Brown the crushed tomato in a little vegetable oil. You can add the tomato also concentrates.
- Fry until the color becomes darker and the water has completely dried.
PREPARTION OF THE SAUCE
- Then cut 1 onion and the green, red and yellow pepper
- Heat a little oil and fry the onions and peppers for 2 to 3 minutes
- Then add the pepper sauce, let fry 1 to 2 min
- Then add the chicken cooking juice
- Season with curry, salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano
- Add the chicken to the sauce and stir until it is well coated. Simmer for 5 minutes, just so that the sauce soaks well in the chicken
- Serve hot with plantain fries. And enjoy, good appetite!
